LNG-to-Power

LNG-to-power (using liquified natural gas for electricity production) is gaining great attention in Vietnam among policy makers and investors. The draft national power development master plan for the period from 2021 to 2030 with a vision to the year 2045 (Draft PDP VIII), Vietnam plans to increase its total installed power capacity in respect of LNG-to-power to 27,000MW in 2030 and 51,000MW in 2045.
This legal update will provide a general framework into the current development of the LNG-to-power market and key legal issues.
